4sm3/4" thick NY strip steaks OR 2-3 lb flank steak, trimmed an
1 1/4cLight brown sugar
1cSoy sauce
  1 1/2" piece ginger, peel, grate
1/2clGarlic, crushed
1/8tsSesame oil

Beamreach Restaurant, Kauai, Hawaii Arrange steak in shallow dish. Combine remaining ingreds and blend well. Pour over steak. Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 3 hrs or overnight, turning occasionally. Broil or bbq to desired doneness. If using flank steak, slice diagonally across grain before serving.
